Alcohol requests in New Jersey

N.J.S.A. 39:4-51b exempts passengers of a limousine service from New Jersey’s open-container possession restriction; the exemption does not apply to the driver. We confirm whether a trip qualifies and review insurance terms and rules in any other state traveled before arranging an alcohol request. That exception does not itself authorize us to sell or supply alcohol. Prosecco requests are subject to separate legal and operational review and may be declined. Passengers must be of legal drinking age.
